Modular home on a hillside plot
A modular home built on a steeply sloping site with spectacular
views across the landscapes surrounding Barcelona
This bespoke prefabricated home was designed to make the most of the remarkable views over the natural landscapes around Barcelona.
Due to the site’s pronounced slope, the house is arranged across two clearly differentiated levels. The parking area is positioned above the main residence, while the terrace and infinity pool occupy a lower level of the plot.
The entire living programme is organised on a single floor. The house is composed of four industrialised modules and provides 253 m² of living space on a hillside plot of more than 1,500 m².
The owners chose to work with inHAUS because they were looking for high-quality architecture, optimised construction times and a fixed-price solution.
In just four months, 95% of the home was completed within our production facilities and prepared for transport and installation on site.

Architecture shaped by the site's topography
The natural slope of the plot and the expansive views were carefully used to connect the home’s principal living areas — the kitchen, dining room and primary bedroom — with the surrounding landscape.
The façade, finished with large-format ceramic cladding, reinforces the building’s clean architectural language and emphasises its strong horizontal character. At the entrance, ceramic surfaces are combined with engineered timber cladding to create a refined and welcoming arrival experience.
The living area is conceived as a fluid sequence connecting the kitchen, lounge and dining space. Each area remains visually linked while being clearly defined through architectural elements. A dividing wall incorporating a fireplace and illuminated shelving separates the kitchen from the lounge, while structural columns subtly organise the transition between the lounge and dining room.
The kitchen features a central island finished in understated grey tones, creating a spacious and highly functional environment. A large panoramic window frames impressive views of the surrounding landscape and fills the space with natural light.
Elegant and sophisticated interior
design by inHAUS
The interior design concept, developed entirely by inHAUS, was conceived as a natural extension of the architecture. Warm whites, sandy tones and wood-inspired finishes define a calm and timeless palette, creating a bright, welcoming and balanced atmosphere throughout the home.
Against this neutral backdrop, terracotta serves as a recurring design element that ties the project together. The colour appears in selected furniture pieces, decorative lighting, the statement wall feature within the living room and the sliding door connecting the living space with the principal suite.
This feature has become one of the home’s most distinctive elements, allowing both areas to be separated when required while preserving openness, visual continuity and a sense of spaciousness.
The furniture and decorative scheme combines contemporary design, craftsmanship and natural materials. Brands such as Punt Mobles, Joquer, Treku, Ondarreta, Marset and Aromas contribute carefully selected pieces with refined lines that reinforce the home’s warm and sophisticated character. Quality, functionality and everyday comfort remain at the heart of every design decision.
Lighting also plays a fundamental role throughout the project. Pendant fixtures, sculptural lighting elements and indirect light sources help define each space while creating different layers of atmosphere, depth and warmth throughout the day.
The result is a carefully considered interior design project in which architecture, furnishings, lighting and materiality work together harmoniously to create an elegant, contemporary home designed to endure over time.
Design and concept
A modular home surrounded by exceptional scenery
The customisation of an inHAUS modular home
This fully customised home demonstrates the importance of adapting architecture not only to the needs of its owners but also to the unique characteristics of the site itself.
The interior layout was carefully developed to orient the principal living spaces towards the spectacular views while making the most of the existing topography.
The interior design concept created by inHAUS incorporates bespoke solutions that strengthen the home’s identity. These include the strategic use of terracotta tones and architectural dividing elements that add character and personality to each space.
The result is a contemporary modular home where architecture, interior design and landscape come together as a harmonious whole, creating a truly distinctive living experience.
Plan and layout
Single-storey modular home
The entire programme has been organised on a single level, creating comfortable circulation, excellent functionality and a direct connection between all areas of the home.
The layout is designed around the site’s most favourable orientations. As a result, the kitchen, dining room, living area and principal bedroom all benefit from privileged views of the surrounding landscape. The living spaces remain visually connected while maintaining a clear organisation, without compromising openness or spatial generosity.
The private area includes two bedrooms and three bathrooms. The programme is complemented by a home office and a spacious utility room. The result is a balanced and highly functional floor plan designed to meet the needs of contemporary family living.
